Danielle LaPointe Macri
Danielle is a Licensed Psychotherapist in Connecticut, New York and South Carolina, who works with adult individuals, couples, and families. She specializes in trauma and addiction treatment, with a focus on relationship healing. Her work is grounded in the belief that healing happens in the context of safe, supportive connection and that meaningful change is always possible.
She is certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and has advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). She also uses parts work such as Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Post Induction Therapy (PIT) to support clients in addressing attachment wounds, complex trauma, and emotional challenges related to addiction. She incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) to provide practical tools and structured approaches tailored to each client’s needs.
In therapy, Danielle takes a warm, collaborative, and deeply attuned approach, helping clients connect past experiences to present-day struggles, strengthen emotional resilience, and cultivate self-compassion. Her work is client-centered and flexible, with an emphasis on creating a space where people feel seen, respected, and empowered throughout their therapeutic process.
Outside of her clinical work, Danielle enjoys spending time with her family. She and her husband, Jeremy, have two young children and two large dogs. She enjoys teaching her children how to love the woods and the water, two of her passions.
Healing begins when we feel safe enough to be fully known. My work is about helping you reconnect—with yourself, your story, and the possibility of something new.
