Ranya Marjieh

Ranya is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Connecticut and New York who works with individuals from all walks of life who are seeking meaningful change. She specializes in supporting clients struggling with eating disorders, body image issues, anxiety, or depression. She works with individuals who may feel stuck in unfulfilling or harmful patterns and are ready to establish healthier, more life-affirming boundaries. Ranya’s therapeutic approach is grounded in the belief that lasting healing involves both mind and body. She works collaboratively with clients to not only reframe unhelpful thoughts and behaviors, but also to cultivate a more compassionate, connected relationship with themselves and their bodies.

Ranya holds a Master’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling, both from Pace University. In her work with clients, she integrates evidence-based approaches like Psychodynamic Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) tailoring the approach to each client’s unique needs. These modalities offer practical tools for navigating intense emotions, improving communication, and fostering self-awareness, helping clients reconnect with themselves and build a life that feels grounded, meaningful, and whole.

Creating a warm, empathetic, and nonjudgmental space is at the heart of Ranya’s practice. She wants therapy to feel like a safe place where clients can bring their full selves—their pain, their hopes, their questions—and know they will be met with respect and care. Her goal is to support each individual in exploring the roots of their struggles, identifying patterns that no longer serve them, and moving toward a life that feels more aligned with their values and strengths.

Ranya lives in the heart of Manhattan with her husband and enjoys exploring the city—trying new restaurants, taking long walks, and soaking in the energy and diversity that New York has to offer. She brings that same curiosity and openness into her work and is honored to walk alongside clients on their healing journey.

Therapy isn’t reserved those who are struggling—it’s for those courageous enough to grow. I believe healing is an active, intentional journey toward self-awareness and lasting change.
